Dental extraction

Dental extraction

Dental extraction, normally performed by a dentist, involves extracting a tooth under local anesthesia. Dental extraction is usually done when a tooth is too decayed to be cared for.

It may also be to remove a tooth not visible, still under the gum (tooth included) as a wisdom tooth.

Simple dental extractions involve easily accessible teeth: the dentist can remove the tooth without surgery.

On the other hand, for the included teeth, the surgical dental extractions are de rigueur. You must open and close the gum to remove the tooth. The main complication of tooth extraction is an infection of the gums.
