Implant placement

Laying a dental implant

Genetic or accidental, the loss of a single tooth can cause over time many problems that could have been avoided by the installation of a dental implant. Three appointments that change everything ...

1st Appointment:

When only one tooth is missing
It's about getting to know each other first, knowing what your expectations are and giving you the best solution. Your dental surgeon, specialized in implantology will perform a dental checkup to judge the quality of the bone that will host the implant through the panoramic radio practiced in the office but also ensure the absence of infection or periodontal disease, a source of failure for implant placement. In some cases, a pre-implant scanner is needed to obtain an optimal result. The practitioner and all his team are there to make your sessions a pleasant moment, answer all the questions you ask yourself and accompany you in your approach. At the end of the first appointment, a treatment plan is established and you can already think about finding a lost comfort ...

2nd appointment
When only one tooth is missing
This is the day. An operating room is specially prepared for you in a completely sterile environment in order to eliminate bacteria contamination as much as possible.
Local anesthesia is practiced. The surgeon will incise your gum to insert the implant (sort of titanium screw, biocompatible material) into the jaw bone because this screw will become the root of your new tooth.
The procedure is completely painless and fast (less than 30 minutes)

At the end of this second appointment, a healing period of 2 to 3 months is observed, time required for the bone to ally with the implant.

3rd meeting:
When only one tooth is missing
This is the long-awaited moment ... after taking the impression of the implant, a custom-made prosthesis is made to obtain a homogeneous result, a result of a natural to be mistaken. The crown on the implant then becomes an ally of the other teeth.
You finally find an ease of chewing and speech.
